SoftwareONE, a Swiss cloud advising company, has locations in 90 countries that serve over 150 markets across the globe. When they decided to move their US headquarters from a Wisconsin suburb to the Historic Third Ward in Milwaukee, they needed an office impressive and functional enough to earn the commute of their employees.

This project consisted of workstations, open and closed collaborative meeting spaces, training rooms, a lounge, reception area, café, and even a game room. To promote mobility and physical well-being, their open office area was furnished with Steelcase FLEX height adjustable desks. The decision was made to have no assigned workstations to allow choice and control over how and where their employees, who refer to themselves as Swomies, work. Amia Air task seating was selected for these workspaces. The easily adjustable design of Amia chairs was ideal for a space that would have many different types of people changing seating often.

Besides spaces dedicated entirely to work, areas such as a lounge with a fireplace, a beautiful work café, and a game room were designed to give their team multiple areas to relax, rejuvenate, and to build relationships with their coworkers. These socially-focused sections of office also function as inviting spaces to host guests, and a place for outside vendors to work in their office without feeling out of place.
