What You Will Do 

The Select Team Designer, reporting to the Select Team Manager, will be expert in sourcing and cataloging ancillary and unique pieces that add character to a space.  The Select designer will research and shop for soup to nuts solutions to fully complete and compliment the design intent of an environment.

  • Familiarity with ancillary vendors and products, including niche local makers.
  • Be aware of product trends, vendor relationship status, and price points.
  • Showroom visits, and industry events.
  • Stay on top of industry trends.
  • Locate and shop all types of retailers that contribute to the creation of a custom space and experience.
  • Identify décor and accessories to finish out a client’s total vision. This ranges from artwork to dishware.
  • Create menus of offerings for a one stop shop experience that contributes to the brand and experience of a space.
  • Catalog and track successful products for easy identification and reuse on other projects.
  • Flip specs to align with Forward Space offerings or customer price points.
  • Participate in RFP solutions.
  • Create and provide accessible content that can be shared with other departments and teams.
  • Must be able to perform standard design functions of space planning, site surveying, rendering, specification, and compliance.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Interior Design bachelor’s degree
  • Creative and Critical thinking
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Microsoft Excel skill with ability to create, manipulate and interpret spreadsheets without error.
  • Microsoft Power Point and Adobe skills to crate and manipulate presentations
  • CET and AutoCAD knowledge
  • Flexibility to travel between Forward Space locations.
